Calling all Long Island photographers, videographers and artist. November 1 2015 I opened my first brick and mortar studio. It’s not much but it has gotten the job done for client meetings and photoshoots. Well since then I have had a few photographers and other artist ask if they can rent it out for shoots, meetings and or work space. It seems to have worked well for them. So I have decided to open my doors to the public for rent. Its’s a 315 squares feet or 15”x 21” with 8 foot ceilings. I have a 4 foot by 5 foot window for natural light shoots that is east facing. I also have a diffused piece of plexiglass that I throw in to soften the light when needed. I hand built a wood pallet wall for this shooting area as well. It also doubles as my client meetings space. In the studio is a comfy love seat couch, an old wood electrical wire spool that is now a table, an area for fully lit studio setups, 50inch LED TV with apple tv for client presentations, Wi-Fi, a great 1948s refrigerator, rest room, heat, AC, coffee maker, and small back yard area. Everything is on sliders so you can move it around the studio at your convenience without any strain. My goal was to set it up like a living room not an office. I probably spend more time here than I do at my own home. It has a very warm and cozy feeling. This is great if you are just getting starting in the field and can’t yet have a place of your own.
For shoots:
Studio only $40 an hour 2 hour minimum
Studio only 1/2 day (4hrs) $150
Studio only full day (8hrs) $300
Studio with lights $50 an hour 2 hour minimum
Studio and lights 1/2 day (4hrs) $180
Studio and lights full day (8hrs) $380
I have 3 Fj Westcott Stobe Light Plus lights, a and righty of soft boxes and light stands.
For constant lights I have 3 Fj Westcott TD6 Spiders Lights, 2 Ice Lights, and 2 1x1 Led Flex panels.
